Anthony Roberts
Anthony Roberts is serving his third term as Tribal Treasurer of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation. He has served on the Tribal Council since 2000 and was first elected Treasurer in 2006.
Treasurer Roberts is actively involved in the tribal community, serving as chair of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Academy Board, and as a member of the Fire Commission, Health and Wellness Committee, Maintenance and Operations Committee, Community Fund Board, and the Cultural Resources Committee. He is also a commissioner for the Yocha Dehe Tribal Gaming Agency.
As chair of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Academy, Treasurer Roberts has been involved in the restructuring of the school, which serves tribal children from infancy through eighth grade. He participates in the adult language classes and is committed to helping Yocha Dehe youth connect with their ancestral heritage, complete their educations, and participate in the businesses and leadership of the Tribe.
As former chair of the Community Fund Board, he is a strong advocate for the Tribe’s philanthropic outreach to the surrounding community. He believes strongly in the Native tradition of giving and is gratified by the positive impact this Fund has in the region.
Treasurer Roberts actively serves the greater Yolo County community as a Director of the Yolo County Fair Board, a post to which he was appointed by Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr.
A lifelong resident of Yolo County, Treasurer Roberts has lived in the tribal community for most of his life. He is an avid sports fan and participates in an organized basketball league. He is also the coach of a local middle school basketball team.
