Chris Reed

Chris Reed is a firefighter and paramedic at Yocha Dehe Fire Department. He was born and raised in Stockton, Calif. where he currently resides.

His interest in the fire service began at a young age. In 1999, shortly after high school, he attended and completed San Joaquin Delta College's Firefighter I Academy and Emergency Medical Technician I course. Soon after, he was hired as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with San Joaquin Delta Fire District that is now a part of the Woodbridge Fire District.

He served three years and was able to fill the requirements to receive his CSFM Firefighter 1 certification. Upon completion, Chris was hired with American Medical Response in Stockton as an EMT for three years.

Chris completed the paramedic program through the Mountain Valley EMSA in 2004. He served two more years with American Medical Response as a paramedic and was hired with the Waterloo Morada Fire District in rural east Stockton. Over his two and a half years of service there, he gained a tremendous amount of experience.

In 2007, Chris reached the end of his career goal and now proudly serves as a firefighter and paramedic with the YDFD.
