Gary Seabold

Gary Seabold is a captain at Yocha Dehe Fire Department. He was born in Southern California, and moved to Granite Bay in 1978. Gary started his fire career in 1980 with the South Placer Fire District. He has also worked part time for Newcastle, Penryn and Loomis Fire Protection districts. In 1980, he was promoted to the rank of captain with the SPFD where he was also an acting battalion chief.

He served on the Placer County Arson Tack Force, and was involved with the Firefighters Pacific Burn Institute in Sacramento and with the state’s mutual aid system for many years, responding to major wildland incidents throughout California and Montana as an engine captain and assistant strike team leader.

He was hired as a captain with the Tribe in August 2005. In his free time, Gary enjoys sports, camping, fishing and coaching baseball.
