Legislative Analyst

The Research Analyst will assist with strategic analytical work on existing and proposed policies, regulations, legislation, and tribal-related matters. This position coordinates closely with the Cultural Resources and Government Affairs Managers and the Tribe’s Legal Department on research assignments. The Government Affairs Department works directly for the Tribal Council.

Facilities Project Specialist

The Project Specialist will be working in conjunction with the project staff and the Facilities & Infrastructure team. The Project Specialist assists with the hands-on execution of projects. The Project Specialist assists the Project Supervisor with tasks such as coordinating project activities and collaborating with outside contractor’s staff. In addition, the Project Specialist will physically perform skilled building trade work at a journey-man’s skill level.

Travel Coordinator

Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation (Yocha Dehe or Tribe) is a federally recognized tribal government. The Tribe’s mission is to provide for the health and welfare of its people, to govern its own lands and affairs with sovereign independence and in a manner consistent with its cultural values, and to enhance and diversify its economy for the overall good of the nation. Yocha Dehe’s governing body, its elected Tribal Council, is charged with implementing this mission. As a federally recognized tribe, Yocha Dehe exercises a government-to-government relationship with the United States, as well as with the State of California and local governments, and the Tribe actively engages with outside agencies and officials, local stakeholders, and members of the public.

Tribal Cultural Monitor

The Tribal Cultural Monitor serves a crucial function in the protection and preservation of Yocha Dehe cultural and historic resources. The Tribal Cultural Monitor works to avoid destructive ground disturbances by locating and identifying cultural resources, and making in the field recommendations on mitigation measures. The Tribal Cultural Monitor also oversees ground disturbing activities to prevent desecration of cultural resources during construction within the Patwin historic aboriginal territory. Independent work and judgment must be exercised in order to carry out the overall responsibilities. Additionally, the Tribal Cultural Monitor works with the Cultural Resource Department; Tribal Cultural Renewal Committee; Federal, State and Local Agencies and developers to protect and provide culturally appropriate insight to cultural sites, mitigation measures, treatment and disposition of artifacts or any other items of cultural interest to the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation. It is important that the Tribal Cultural Monitor arrive on time and be prepared to work. The Tribal Cultural Monitor represents Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, and must adhere to the highest standard of professional conduct at all times.

Communications Manager

Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation is seeking a highly effective communications professional with excellent writing and editing skills, knowledge of graphic design, solid skills in website and social media management and exceptional skills in project management to join our Communications Department. The Communications Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of both internal and external communications strategies in a highly collaborative environment under the direction of the Director of Communications. The Communications Manager will generate, perfect and execute on-message content that furthers organizational goals, including raising awareness about California’s first people, their history, culture and present-day contributions to the region, State and Nation, ensuring messaging is clean, consistent and engaging. As a skilled writer, the Communications Manager will be comfortable performing tasks for dissemination through various external channels like articles, social media platforms and the governmental website, and various internal channels from annual reports to community informational flyers.

Tasting Room Kitchen Associate (Sacramento, CA)

The Tasting Room Kitchen Associate reports to the Tasting Room Supervisor and works in collaboration with the Executive Chef and is responsible for the production of quality meals in the Séka Hills tasting room. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, food preparation, logistics operations, meal service, set up and clean up, manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies, ordering processing, sanitation and stocking. The Tasting Room Kitchen Associate must have the ability to creatively solve problems in a fluid environment. The right candidate will share our passion for food as well as educating our community. They are ambassadors of the Séka Hills brand and are expected to embody the customer service ideals of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation.

Teacher (6th-8th Grade Focus)

The K-8th Grade Teacher will provide multi-subject and multi-grade instruction that serves all students utilizing research based and best teaching practices for all students, specifically, Native Americans. The teacher in this position will plan and prepare courses and lessons which reflect the school’s high academic standards, and are appropriate to the needs, experiences and existing knowledge of the students. The teacher will provide individual and whole class instruction and will assess students’ work and record and monitor their development and progress. The teacher will promote understanding of the school’s rules and the values and culture of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation.

Facilities Project Supervisor

The Project Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision and technical expertise, planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives for both residential and commercial construction projects. In that role, the Project Supervisor manages the design and implementation of complex construction projects both small and large projects on tribal properties.

Mill Manager

The Mill Manager is tasked with directing and coordinating activities concerning Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation’s Séka Hills brand olive oil product from field to bottle and custom milling for clients by performing the following duties.
